Early DC5 (1962 & 1963)

"The Dave Clark Five and the Playbacks" , pictured above, leads us to review the pre-Glad All Over
recordings from 1962 and 1963. Several songs will be discussed, tho' just two are on the pictured album, (the balance
of the album containing 10 fun, but dated songs by a band that was re-named "The Playbacks" for their
inclusion in this album.) HERE's WHAT THE DC5 RECORDED during their "Pre-famous" years:
1962(June) - I Knew It All the Time / That's What I Said (Picadilly label in UK)
1962(August) - Chaquita / In Your Heart (included on pictured album) (Ember label in UK)
1962(December) - First Love / I Walk the Line (Picadilly label in UK)
1963(March) - The Mulberry Bush / Chaquita (newer version) (UK Columbia career begins)
1963(September) - Do You Love Me / Doo Dah (First single to hit the charts, #30 in UK)
1963(November) - Do You Love Me / I Know You / Poison Ivy / No Time to Lose (4-song EP)
